HYPE Drops to $22.4, Reaching Lowest Price Since May 8
BlockBeats News, December 19, according to market data, HYPE has dropped by 7.7% in the past 24 hours, now trading at $22.4, hitting its lowest coin price since May 8, 2025, plummeting over 62% from its all-time high of $59.4. The current total market capitalization is $7.6 billion.
The initial token unlock of Hyperliquid took place on November 29 at 15:30 Beijing time, unlocking 9.92 million HYPE tokens worth $312 million, accounting for 2.66% of the circulating supply. Following the unlock, HYPE did not experience significant price fluctuations, trading at $34.4. This unlock is the first since the TGE in November 2024. According to an official Medium article, core contributor tokens are locked for one year post-TGE, with most vesting to be completed between 2027 and 2028.
